>the show is an excuse for light fanservice

4 - Cross Ange, Code Geass
>frequent nudity and lewdness, maybe the occasional titty
5 - Yuusibu, Zero no Tsukaima
>I'd say this is the bare minimum lewdness level to be considered a real ecchi anime
6 - MonMusu, Okusama ga Seitokaichou
>uncensored titties start appearing with more regularity at this point, scenes often become explicitly sexual rather than just suggestive
7 - High School DxD, Shinmai Maou no Testament
>essentially a more intense version of the previous level
8 - Seikon no Qwaser, Valkyrie Drive
>even more intense, plus frequently include more obscure fetishes
