Hey wsr, i work in personal tech support. meaning i mostly help old people with their computer in private. pays really well and am able to fix 9/10problems but the past week ive gone back to the same house 3 times.
they have an old dell laptop with a dualcore pentium inside. almost completely clean factory settings only a couple pics so no weird shit but it says it ahs no internet or weak with teh orange triangle and yellow !. i looked at teh router it seems old but fine nothing weird just alot of lights and ugly zyxel model. i hooked it up by cable worked , took it off internet work perfectly for a day then the next day they say its back and worse , each time i come back do it like this and it works again 5bars n all. wtf is wrong? the router or the laptop?

probably have to drop the router down to wep, see what else they have connected

from what i can see just her phone and another old laptop which she doesnt use ,and teh occasional phones of her children when theyre home (once a month)

no it will reset and refresh all the online protocols on the laptop, read thru the script it will tell you what it does
have you unstalled the wireless and let it find itself on a restart
