What are the actual best video games ever?

The original Zelda for NES was voted best video game by Game Informer back during their 200th issue.
Though really it's hard to rate titles spanning multiple genres against one another.
Time Splitters 2.
Anyone that says otherwise is a shitposter.

The problem with Time Splitters is that it didn't age well though

The first one didn't.
The second was the best, had mountain of unlockables, tons of weapons, characters, the single player had great variety, challenge modes, map editors, at higher difficulties extra objectives, enemies, guns, and content appear, the works.
Other than a wonkey control scheme I don't see how it would have aged poorly at all, it never fell for the "realism" meme so it still looks good, It'd be perfect if it got ported to PC and would have near no downsides.

Me and my friends played the shit out of both the 2nd and 3rd game when we were younger.
We recently went back to play it and it didn't hold up, and we ended up quitting after five to eight rounds. It's really clunky and incomparable to newer first person shooters that have ironed out all the kinks.
