Can anyone help me find this creepy/weird online web series?

Can anyone help me find this creepy/weird online web series? I remember watching it about 5 years ago but it wasn't finished, this is what I remember:
-Animated
-Similar to David Firth's stuff, e.g. Salad Fingers
-Almost a bit like Adventure Time with the animation, although way less of a budget.
-Story was about two creatures who shared a house and one episode involved them discovering a portal in their basement which lead to a nightmare world
-Had a minor character that was an insect or something
-Style was really surreal and didn't use a lot of colour, very minimalist.
-For instance there weren't many other characters other than the main two

Does this sound like anything anyone's ever heard of? I believe it may have been hosted on Newgrounds at some point or was at least related to those weird David Firth-esque cartoons from a few years ago.
