I'm learning python and something seems off to me. I am requesting programmer and/or linguists helps on this matter : how come, unlike most python statements (if, for, while, in, or, etc.), "with" doesn't appear to be related to its english counterpart ?
"The with statement simplifies exception handling by encapsulating common preparation and cleanup tasks". Am I missing something simple ?

This site explains it fairly well.

It will assume the meaning of its english counterpart if you use it as originally intended.

Firstly it's from Pascal.
Secondly, "With that rake over there go clean the yard. Afterwards, unload the dishwasher." Are you still carrying the rake in the kitchen?
