Hey guys, im trying to get my 3.5mm combo jack headset to work on my pc using an adapter but it doesnt seem to work. I have perfect clear sound through the headset but my microphone is not working what so ever.
I tried to test it in a skype call and it seems that skype things its sending sound through the microphone?As people speak the bar indicating volume jumps up and down in the microphone skype tab but not in the speakers tab even though i hear the sound directly through the headset. Does anybody have any ideas?

Plastic sleeves are injection molded on the plug-wiring assembly. Sometimes the plug-wiring insert may move in the mold in the molten plastic stream (worn out mold, different plastic, different parts tolerances etc.), and may get pushed backwards in the flow. Therefore plug ends up too deep in the plastic sleeve. Not an unheard of thing to happen.

You may try removing some of the plastic at the root of the plug to reveal it some mils more. Just some mils at the time, they try it. You don't want to remove too much. Use a sharp utility knife.
