Can you guys recommend some good Notebooks for student? My budget is 300- 400 Euro. Is a Thinkpad 420 really good or is it just a /g/ meme?

You're probably not going to do a lot of gaming or other intensive tasks with it, just writing notes and essays and the occasional e-mail right? I think any cheap one with enough ram would be ok for that. If you don't feel like waiting for it to boot up, try to find one with an ssd
