Hi,
I am trying to set up a new Kali usb with persistence and everything is booting fine. However when I try to run apt-get dist-upgrade I run out of space. I have searched all over on how to expand my root drive and make more room for my Kali set up. Kali seems to only partition off about 4gb of space on my 64gb thumb drive. I used lili usb to create the thumb drive but I have no idea how to expand and make more room. Please advise and thank you for any and all help. Photo very pertinent. Will upload other photos

I think you need to manually create the bootable usb disk
there was also some info on their wiki/forum IIRC

Actually I made the persistent thumb drive fine. It's allocating hard drive space that is the issue. If you're going to insult me at least do it correctly, ass..
It is booting fine, it just won't update due to hard drive space.

Can you provide a link to what you are referring to? I'm not sure I follow. The thumbdrive is booting fine just runs out of space.
you can point persistence to an empty partition
