(Pic unrelated) I want character A to tell character B something along the lines of "and if you hadn't made that mistake, proving you're a disappointment and a slut, how would have things turned out for you?" But i need it to be smoother and believably hurtful. I'd like the italicized words to be there because i want to follow up on those qualities later in the book.)

Kek, forgot to italicize words. Words being "disappointment," and "slut"
Unless someone can think of something better, but i don't want it to be too crude.

i have no idea, but have you checked tvtropes? Perhaps your phrase falls under one of their trope categories

No, I don't think it'd be there. I'm asking for help so the insult seems realistic, so the reader can be like "...ouch"
Thoughts?
"So you're a disappointment & slut, and maybe, if you hadn't have f**ked up, then nobody would have realised, and you could have continued hiding those parts of yourself. But you did, because you are a f**k up."
Wasn't sure where we stood on swearing but thats my take on it!

Thank you, I can definitely use this
