Hi /wsr/ I'm building a >gaming and heavy duty content creation PC. The budget is ~1000$ and I crammed in a GTX 1060 3GB and an intel i5-7500. No overclocking.
Here's the pcpartpicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fQsKD8
I'd like to make it as future-proof as possible, and be able to play almost all current-gen games (BF1, Overwatch, GTA V) at 60FPS, Ultra. Also some good performance in Unreal Engine and Maya/3dMax is needed. What do y'all think? Would you change anything in the current build, and if so, what would you modify?
It all depends on the OS you're using

I will use Windows 10 64-bit.

Get the 6GB 1060. It's $20 more, the same TDP, and 11% faster, because the 3GB ones are 6GB ones where one of the ten modules is defective and disabled. Plus the extra memory can't hurt.

Drop the power supply to a CX-450M or similar, still have over 30% headroom, save 60%.
You do not need a meme power supply. TDP of gaming components has gone down, year-after-year, since the introduction of the Core2.
Your current PC needs 280W. Your next PC will need less than that, not more.
You do not need a fancy power supply, and could spend that money on something more useful.

Windows 10 more like government spying 10. I still use Windows 98 and I also use Kali Linux

I hope you're not using the internet. That's how they get you.
