I'm looking for images of the carry handle on the m16 (or similar guns) being used.
Here's a different gun for example

Thing is, nobody uses it for that.
Imagine carrying your rifle horizontally, at knee level, through a jungle. Is your barrel more likely to be fouled than someone with it slung across their shoulder?

Anon, have you ever shot a machine gun and then had to carry it to another position?
Those things get genuinely hot. You don't want the barrel touching anywhere your kit for a good while.

I assume that if you're in a jungle and have just shot a machine gun, you'll probably want to be carrying it by the grip.

Then you will want to have a foregrip as well. No one carries a machine gun only by the pistol grip irl.
Often in the movies actors are carrying their guns up like a fucking flagpole. Doesn't happen in real life (for obvious reasons), unless they are posing for a photographer.

I've never seen an m16 derivative without the barrel-shroud for comfortably holding it by the corner of barrel/magazine-well/receiver.
Does such a thing exist? (Obviously you could build an AR-15 without one.)

Are you all British or something?
The M-16 is not a machine gun.
It's is select fire.
Yes, the barrel does get hot.
Yes, you can carry it without using the handle.

Oh alright, if nobody's going to respond to my bait (wise), here's the only pic I could find, from the Operation and Preventative Maintenance comic.
I assume this is in regards to some autistic argument on /k/.
