I have ~50 hours of security cam footage i must watch, however, i only have to watch for movement in one of the corners, the rest doesn't matter. I'd like to know if there's any program that would go through all 50 hours worth of video and discard all footage with no motion in that corner, so i can save time by only having to watch the parts where someone is actually there.

Don't know if this will help but VLC has a motion detection setting built into it. You might be able to find a script that will do what you need with VLC.

While VLC's setting isn't good enough, searching for a way to improve it helped me find a 2010 software called SafeMotion, which fits what i was looking for. Thank you.
