Hey, guys. I bought my nephew a PC recently off of Newegg and got it all set up with the monitor, but I'm not sure exactly how to connect it to wifi. Here's the pre-built I got for him.

I've done a bit of research and found that I can get a USB type thing to get it to work, or I can get something called a wifi PCI card and figure out how to install it. Is there a benefit to getting one over the other? I really want to surprise him by setting it all up for him myself since his birthday is coming up in the next few days.

That PC has no WiFi capable card, so you could buy a network card with WiFi or an USB receiver, but I'd recommend simply using LAN cable as any normie desktop user would.

I was afraid of that. His bedroom is situated in such a way that he'd have to hook up a cord from downstairs and lead it all the way up to his bedroom. I think. I honestly have no idea if that's how it's supposed to work, I just want it to be easy for he and his mom to get up the stairs without possibly tripping over it or dealing with wires leading all over the house. Thank you, though, I'll take that into consideration.

Then get an USB receiver as I said. It just plugs into the USB slot and costs like 10 bucks.
