perhaps the software called Anki since it's fun to use, is a card game where you input a question, image and an answer then when you play it over and over you'll memorize the answers and there's tons of free card decks made by other people around the world,

i would suggest either if you only want to remember country names by seeing their flag just download the game that has flag images and disable all but the african flags and play it for a couple of days.

or if you only want to memorize the names just make a new game divide the african countries by groups of 10-15 alphabetically sorted and try to come up with a story for each group using just their acronyms (research mnemonics memorization)

I think best way is to visualy walk through the continent.
Egypt->Libya->Tunisa->Algeria->Morocco->Western Sahara->Mauritania
In this sequence you covered hte northern countries, and if you think about the map, and where each of those countries is on the map, you can somewhat easily know if you are missing something.
