I'm looking for anime that have BOTH fantasy elements like swords/armor AND science fiction elements.

Essentially, I'm looking for stuff like Phantasy Star. But not the PSO2 anime because it's ass, and not SAO because I've seen enough of that one already.

If it has characters wearing armor and wielding laser swords, its probably a good match. Not really into mecha. though, which I know rules out some of them.

uh i guess the science-fiction part is questionable. at first i thought the actual gate itself was sci-fi but at second thought it was kinda magic as well.

so i guess GATE is just fantasy + non-fantasy
