Apparently Japanese copyright holder's for music are very strict about sales outside of Japan. I'm looking for either a legitimate way to purchase the music in the US, or batting that downloads that work for Do As Infinity, and if possible Ayumi Hamasaki.
Thanks for any help <3

I buy most of my CDs from eBay or Yahoo Japan auctions. I tend to buy mostly old hard to find Visual Kei albums, or J-Rock. Most of the time I look for CD lots. Since I don't need the albums right away I purchase them when I find them for really cheap.
I compare prices to Discogs and other sites.

So the only way to get Japanese music is to buy it? I've been trying to get a number of Rip Slyme albums but i'm broke.

Just depends what you are into. Some stuff is easy to find however a lot of the Japanese music I listen to is hard to find on most public trackers.
I like a piece of the music I can look at and hold so I enjoy buying CDs. Sometimes it feels like a treasure hunt finding the CDs I want.
There are tons of direct download sites/blogs that are dedicated only for Asian and Japanese music. Most of the time I just use rutracker or Soulseek though.

I forgot to mention I remember people having to buy Japanese iTunes cards to purchase music from the Japanese iTunes store. Not sure if this still is a thing though, it was a while back.
