I'm looking for some manga that is easy to read (I'm learning Japanese so i need something basic) Preferably a manga that is engaging enough to make me want to read it, but not so good that i'll feel as though I've missed out by using it for learning rather than enjoyment .

Go to the link provided in the OP and then look through both the "manga" page and the "reading list". Should give you something easy to read. I don't know how shitty the community is of those threads, but you can probably also ask for help on something you don't understand and they'll provide an answer. Just hope that it's not a dumb question.
