It seems like you just want something with a dark atmosphere of sorts? Try looking up some stuff from this chart then, if my assumption is correct.

There are some good anime on that chart but I'm looking for something with the same style and feeling. You know that old artstyle, the music, the crosses and all those guns and soldiers.
