Are there any good softwares to download threads and images on 4chan?
The last one I've used was Ychan that can download html and images from a thread but it is now abandoned and recently it does not download threads anymore for some reason
Bump for interest

Already used this, while it does save threads along with the images, you have to actively do it and refresh the page until the thread is archived or deleted
Is there any other software/addon that automatically monitors the thread and saves it along with images?

Not to start an argument but what about sites like fireden
Just looking for something similar but saved as a local copy

Using the 4chan JSON API doesn't fall under the ban for "scrapers" or "downloading scripts", as long as you abide by the API's rules.

>Do not make more than one request per second.
>Thread updating should be set to a minimum of 10 seconds, preferably higher.
This is interesting, have a bump
Use 4chan API.
You could call them from a .NET console application or something like that.
Here's how to make a request to 4chan APIs.
There are even some examples on that page.

Feel free to use Java, Python or whatever you want instead.
Use Hydrus Network. Supports 4x2chan too.

Someone mentioned ychan but honestly I can't get it to do anything other than download images.
Any ideas?

It used to be able to save the thread as html but recently can only download images
