it's gingivitis. most people have a mild case of it, it's nothing to really worry about. you should be brushing at least twice a day and flossing at least once.

This would be my guess as well, but seriously - go see a dentist and get 2 cleanings a year. Don't fuck around with your teeth - you only get one adult set and can easily do some permanent damage if you aren't taking care of them.
