What do you call a Plants Home?

botanists pls
Is this for a creative story, or do you think there's actually a term for a plant's "home"? That's not a concept people would normally apply to plants.
My guess would be something like "plot" or "patch" (i.e. "of land").

creativity story. yea wanted something like 'pot', but it was planted in a garden/plot of land. But I wanted to refer to the little whole it sits in.

whats the context? maybe you can refer to its "root" instead

dude fell onto his plot of land/garden and knocked the seed out of its little whole.(a few of them)

You could just use whatever synonym for home that sounds the most plantlike or earthy to you. Dwelling or abode would be fine. Something like
>unearthing the seeds from their future abode

yea. Just wanted to see if there was a specific word, since it seemed like there'd be one.
