I have this Verbatim flash drive. It worked just fine until I formatted it and chose NTFS file system (instead of FAT32 which I supposed was the de-facto configuration). The icon of the drive, which was a pretty, standard icon, changed into some ugly ass icon. I formatted it again, changing back into FAT32. But the icon remained the same. What can I do? I don't want to buy another drive, but said icon annoys me deeply.
This is how the unit looks
How come a drive has a card-type icon? How can I change it back?
I know this is kind of autistic, but I hope you will understand me.

>Option 1:
In the root directory make a file called AUTORUN.INF and write in it:
>[autorun]
>Label=What you want your drive to be named
>Icon=icon.ico
Then put whatever icon file you want for icon.ico. You can hide the files so you don't have to look at them.
>Option 2:
Change the registry entry for the D drive icon. See

Can you tell me why this happened?
Any way of doing this "cleanly"?
