So my neighbors kid (12 years old) wants to start playing games on a PC, but there are two things that are preventing him:
-They can't get a desktop, only a laptop
-They moms budget is $800 bucks
So if he really wants to play PC games, he has to get a Laptop with a good enough graphics card under or a little above $800. Does anyone have any recommendations? One more thing to note: The mom doesn't want to buy him a gaming laptop so it would be best if the laptop isn't advertised as a "gaming laptop." I'm helping the kid get something like one in secret because he's practically like my little bro

>They can't get a desktop, only a laptop
Why? Would be the best value for money.
Could get a good desktop system for that but only a mediocre laptop for gaming purposes.
For that budget I'd look at the used market, surely you can ge a very good 1-2 years old laptop for that price.

basically this, why is a laptop out of the picture? If it absolutely needs to be a laptop, and a brand new one, the best thing you can get with 800$ is something like http://a.co/a9MK0og or http://a.co/6jpZL5U
yes they have the "gaming" advertisement but that's the best you'll get with 800$ and anything other isn't worth it

No room in their apartment.

Alright, very well then. I hope she doesn't mind that it's built for gaming then

while searching for yourself on other sites or places you want to buy, just look for gtx 1050 as the graphics card, that's it

wow lucky kid, they had room for him
