The Opera browser supposedly has a builtin VPN. Do you trust them?
The problem I've found is that legitimate website refuse connections from known VPNs and Tor exits.

You run a free VPN so that when someone accuses you/one-of-your-customers of something bad, you just say "soz, we don't keep records, we're a common carrier, and it was probably one of the free guys".
