I don't know what makes a computer good, but I need a laptop

You could get a HP laptop that's what I have and that's what I used for games a lot. It isnt all that good for games but it doesn't fall apart fast at all. Had it doe about 3 4 years. Mine was about 500$ so just try finding a HP laptop around the price you want.

You need a Thinkpad.

Thinkpad is so much heavy and strong. if Thinkpad does not kill you he can hit you with it. weight is a sign of reliability. trow water on both and see wich can pour out bottom which has asplode. HP get crush easy, Thinkpad shell get crush, Thinkpad crawl away to find another. it is like having 1up. the HP got evict from shell because he is poor.
