Most of what I have seen is good but I haven't seen the movie. I heart that the situation is like the Johnny Mnemonic movie: people will like the movie if they have never read the original story.

It's not nearly as cyberpunk as you want it to be, a lot of it is a slow paced character story based around finding upside down LED light fixtures in a sand box

It *is* satisfying to watch through til the end though, just depends on how much time you have to throw away

I started to watch it by accident without any prejudice. I didn't read a single review beforehand.

I have to agree with those anons who said it was boring. It runs like a cow in a swamp. One anon said that they probably ran out of money; could be also because the initial goals were so high they never met them.

tl;dr Character design is great. Storytelling (especially directing) isn't great at all.

Ergo Proxy is literally a story about subhumans who are totally screwed over by humans. Everyone you see in the show is literally a subhuman.
