Should I play the VN or re-watch it?
The last time I watched it was when it aired, and honestly I don't really remember much. Want to try it out again since I don't think I took in much of it also because it's been such a long time.
Need reasons why I should pick one or the other.

I've only ever played the VN so I can't really compare. but the VN is definitely great.

Definitely play the visual novel. I like both, but the VN offers a lot more in terms of depth. You'll get a lot more of Okabe's thought processes during the whole thing, which make it more interesting, as well as a bunch of other little things the anime cut out since it has a limited amount of time to tell things. So you'll be getting more out of it from the "re-play".
I do have to mention though that getting the True End is literally impossible, so look that up online after finishing one or most of the routes. Or just use this Pastebin I made for a friend a while back: https://pastebin.com/2V2xwxCU
These are answers you'll be giving to texts from Kurisu throughout the game. Note that some of the answers will be worded slightly different because translation differences.
