I'm looking for videogames where you can get married and have a family, with kids and a house and whatnot. Ideally this will be a mechanic as opposed to a specific scripted event, available on PC, and be comfy. Mandatory: main character has a child with another character.
Past experiences: Stardew Valley was pretty comfy but low on interaction with family aside from daily smooches and tossing your child into the air. Once you married them your wife was just a food dispenser/very occasional sprinkler. Crusader Kings II is pretty good, you choose your wife, there are some events and choices, and you can plan to improve the future of your children too, but all of the portraits are wax sculptures.

just out of curiosity why do you want this specific scenario in a game? Do you plan to live out some kind of fantasy?

Harvest moon.
You inherit a farm, you get married to one of the village girks (or guys if you play as a girl in some games) and get kids.
In one of the games your child will even grow up and what he will do with his life as an adult depends on who his mother his and how you raise him.
