I am working on a project of building the Nintendo Excitebike with a brand new bicycle and brand new motor. I am fortunate enough that I have already put the motor and bicycle together and had great success riding on the "prototype". Now it will be coming apart for a repaint and applying decals. Decals is where I'm running into the problem.
I can order from popular website a 3x11 inch bumper sticker and this will be how I am making custom decal of many sizes (with 3x11 inch maximum size) I have shown my hand-drawn visualization of plans so far and I'll be uploading some of what I have so far on the computer and explaining my issues to see if someone can help. I'm using microsoft paint to do it all. I appreciate all comments ideas or questions.
front fork decal (no issues I'm aware of)
reversed, to make a left and right side with rider facing front. an extra one to keep it from being stretched to fit the 3X11 inch sticker size.

this a GOOD ONE
my favorite for the 1.5" bottom frame bar labels. I haven't "mirrored" it yet or filled in the excess white space

to better describe my problem with the word art, I can't get it to look perfect when I build it on top of other items. Not with MS paint created or a copy/paste from MS word. I know the image file needs to be perfect because what I provide is what will be printed. see attached image the letters have odd outlines.

First of all, cool project, anon!
I suggest working with gimp or gimpshop instead of word + paint.
I threw this together in 5 seconds in GIMP and the letters look fine to me, no weird outlines.

I am now downloading GIMP. good tip I can see the difference easily
I fucking loved Excitebike back in the day, making custom tracks and getting to the point of just bouncing the front tyre on a single jump every __ screens... Good times.
Cool project.
If you don't have much joy with the GIMP, maybe post exactly what you would like drawn up for each decal and one of us PS chumps can do it.

If there is a PS chump as you described,
Id love the rainbow to be made in a two-face (mirrored image legible text both ways) with the rider proceeding into the rainbow rather than coming from the rainbow. He could have rainbow on both sides of him but I want him on the other end. More to match the crude paper drawing. Might have to keep a bit of the whiteness on the right side of the rider to make him stay clean and that's fine. And word overlaid as large as possible on that one. Outline on the letters if you think it looks better or more legible would be fine. I've included the source image I pirated from to hack up in paint

and I like the big single image to be like this, but not suck. my GIMP job was bad. something more creative. I found the image of the console door open I want it changed to show excitebike cartridge it shows now mario cartridge. big console, proportional controller... maybe a zapper if it helps fill space.

this is better controller
OP what you're going to want to do is use illustrator to vectorize your graphics and create .svg files for printing. Then you're going to want to head over to /o/ and find the /osg/ thread and ask for help with getting your decals printed. This is a good opportunity for you to learn illustrator.
