-Asus Xonar Essence STX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card
-EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
-MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

If so, which cables do I need and where the heck do they go?

I'm quite sure the sound card doesn't need cables, and the power supply has cables of its own

I don't think so, it's not registering when I plug it simply into the motherboard and check the audio options...
The sound card has multiple female and male sockets around the edge as well
