Hey /b/, tried searching everywhere to no avail so thought I would ask you. Can I use the PS2 Slim cable (2.5A, 250V~) on a PS4. The PS4 cable is usually 7A, 100-250V but I have read that its okay to use it. Help Please.

If it's a simple half-clover-leaf power cord without a brick, it's fine to use.

Also this is /wsr/ not /b/, so

USA has a deficient mains voltage, so it responds by saying cables can carry more current than they actually can.
The IEC C7 ("figure-eight") connector is rated for 2.5A, which is 550W in any country with proper electricity. In the USA it would only be 225W, which is not enough to get anything done, so the USA regulators just pretend it can take 10A, which is 1100W.
tl;dr: 2.5A and 10A figure-eights are the same thing, and when you take them into America, the Freedom seeps into them and makes them able to carry 10A even though they can't.

If the power cord has no transformator box on either the original or the one you found (like the powerstation the xbox cord has) and fits the PS4 it should be completely fine to use. As the transformator is inside the PS4, PS3 and PS2 I think.
