I have to calculate some formula to find the volume of the space between 2 graphs using some kinda shape. I've been putting this off for the past 2 weeks, but I really need help.

AP Calc BC . On finding the volume of the area between two graphs. I'd upload the image, but it keeps saying it contains an embedded file

My kik is Stormstar13, it'd be easier to send images or conversate through there. If you really are looking to help text me through there.

Between two curves. It's relatively simple, but depends on the shape you're using.
>>
Ok I'll just type it out.
"The base of a solid is a circle with the equation x^2 +y^2 =4. For this solid, the cross sections perpendicular to the x-axis are isosceles right triangles with one leg on the disk. Find the volume of this solid."

I got some questions like what does the Av0 mean? And isn't it 2y^2, you didn't square the y you just plugged in y. I'm not sure if that's a mistake or I'm missing some steps.
>>
>>286772
You can practically ignore the Av0 part. It meant to be the area of the circle itself, similar to how I had Av(triangle shape), but that's kind of irrelevant. I'm basically just adding up areas of the triangle where the length of a leg of the triangle, 2y, changes.

Ok. So 64/3 units is the volume of this piece. Now all I have to do is make each isosceles triangle 1/2 inch away from each other parallel and perpendicular to the x-axis and find the lengths of each leg. I'll just have to write out the work for the steps you've given me.Thanks for the help in my time of need!
