My decent rig is not at college with me and I'm using a Aspire e5 521 laptop that a friend gave me. This thing is a real piece of shit and even after upgrading from god-awful windows 8 to 10, it still can't hack it. Will post specs and suck the cock of anyone who can help
AMD E2 6110 1.5 GHz/ Integrated AMD Radeon R2 Card, 4GB Ram, 64 bit windows 10
Originally this laptop ran windows 8, but it seemed to have issues with that OS and initially performed better after I installed windows 10. Recently it has become hard to run more than one program at a time. I have done everything I can think of (defragmented [lol], cleaned out various adware programs, updated all drivers, played with various settings etc.) In task manager it seems that it's almost constantly running 95-100% of the disk (surprisingly not CPU or memory).
also, I tried to see if Acer could do anything/recommend something but they said fuck off and directed me to a tech support hotline extortion (answersby.com)

There's probably not much that can be done, it's simply a pile of shit. If you don't mind using a Linux distro, that definitely helps.

Try using this. Download the application, plug in a flash drive and select a Linux distro (I recommend Lubuntu or Xubuntu for newbies with slow computers) and it'll turn the USB into a bootable drive.
There's plenty of tutorials on youtube if you get stuck.
