I found a USB flash drive and wanted to know what's on it. It's using an AES 256-bit Encryption.. Any ideas?
"found"
>give it back tyrone
If you get in, post results
only way you could get in would be to find the owner and politely ask for the password.

Not much, OP - A properly configured secured usb drive will not let you brute force the password and will erase itself after a few attempts.
So you can either try to find the owner by checking the drive for some sort of contract information or purposely trigger the self erase and use it yourself.

Take it apart and probe each chip individually.

A good encrypted usb drive will have those chips encased in some sort of tough epoxy - you will destroy the chips in the process of removing the encasing medium
If you found it somewhere and it's encrypted, I'm assuming someone tried to get rid of it and encrypted it so no one can find out whats on there.
And with this, there's a good chance that there is CP on it.
If it helps the hint to the password is "Laptop".
