Okay /wsr/ I need help.
I'm trying to convert the DVI-I output on my GTX 970 through an adaptor into the component input on my analogue tv. Although the computer is detecting it, the TV is displaying no signal. What do I do?

PS: NVIDIA customer service sucks, the live chat just told me they don't guarantee anything instead of actually addressing any potential issues. I don't care if its not on you, help me understand what the problem is.
didnt they drop the analog components of dvi on that card?
im almost certain youll need to get an _active_ adapter for that (dvi-d to component), something like

disregard >>276951 , looks like analog outputs are only unavailable on the 1xxx and up series (mixed it up with the 1070)
so that should work, is there a way for you to force the output to be always on (clone or extend) on your graphics card control panel?

According to the customer support team they guarantee that VGA signals work, which are analogue. I'd also assume if the card couldn't process analogue the control panel wouldn't be able to detect it was sending an analogue signal, which it is.

It's currently set up as the second display through the control panel (also using an LCD through the HDMI port to see what I'm doing), and it looks like it thinks its working. How would I force the signal?
I should note this is a TV since apparently TV signals aren't always the same in analogue. The control panel is only providing resolutions for it as a PC.

do you have pic related available? (sry, googled image, i dont have any nvidia hardware at hand to check it out, rn)
>The control panel is only providing resolutions for it as a PC.
you can add a custom resolution to the resolution list (584i or 584p, if that fails just use 800x600)
