What is the most relaxing and atmospheric anime of all time?
Preferably something comfy that has a sweet tranquil beauty that leaves you feeling that slight tinge of nostalgia.

Mushishi
Probably not what you're looking for but despite how dark and fucked up it is, Evangelion is a really comfy show for me.

I'll take Aria for $500, Alex.
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou but the manga is better
Kara no Kyōkai if you can relax around knives

Aria hands down. Other super comfy atmospheric anime are Hidamari Sketch and Non Non Biyori.
Natsume Yuujinchou
Except the few episodes where you cry your eyes out
probably Makoto Shinkai's movies, although I haven't watched any yet
Sound Euphonium
Studio Ghibli, honestly. especially Ocean Waves and Only Yesterday. also Wolf Children. Summer Wars too but I wasn't a fan of it.

Knowing that everything you do is futile and/or going to make things worse while feeding your existential crisis with philosophical quips and 2deep4u, farfetched perspectives so you feel good and enlightened without actually going out to do anything nor feel the need to actively confirm to a role is as comfy as it gets.

If sequential is fine then Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō.
