occult academy went from a strong first few or three episodes to total garbage. Wizard Barristers got my hopes up and steadily degraded until the last 2 episodes were so ugly and bad they should've been destroyed.

Macross Delta: A show where the antagonists are consistently portrayed as sympathetic characters despite going out of their way to commit irredeemable atrocities, with ridiculous amounts of plot armor to prevent their asses from being blasted out of the galaxy like they deserve, and a useless MC who goes through the exact opposite of character development after his mentor figure dies on him and completely fails to affect the plot in any meaningful way despite music giving him literal super powers.

If there is another franchise that has nosedived as hard as this one, I certainly haven't seen it.
