On my iPhone 4, when saving images from 4chan with holding onto a picture and press "save image", the image gets compressed. When copying the pics to my pc, the resolution and also the size are smaller, seems for compression reasons. I want them to have the original size and resolution. Is there an option to deactivate the compression when saving pics from the internet (over safari browser) ? thanks

No it doesn't. iPhone saves images as native; you need to open the actual image then save that.

Nope, doesnt work either. "opened in new window" and still compressed. seems to be a crappy restrction from the iphone 4, was more efficient back then.

I found that saving pictures to the phone from certain nsfw boards like /hc or /h is downcaling and compressing the images to 1024 pixels maximum width or height depending on the orientation even tho the pictures are bigger than that in original. the nsfw boards /s or /hr (high resolution) do not downscale and compress the saved image. either it is a behavior for all mobile phones or for certain phones when they got detected. who the f*** knows why... can someone verify?
