I came here a while ago looking for action/adventure/romance anime similar to Eureka Seven and got a lot of great suggestions. Now however, I think I'd like to try a romance that's a bit lighter. Maybe the slice of life, high school drama type. Something where I don't need to worry if a character I care about will die in battle or something. I played two visual novels like that, Katawa Shoujo and If my Heart had Wings, so I guess I'm looking for a similar cutesy romance with a little drama and a nice, everybody-lives-happily-ever-after ending. If it helps, some of my favorite anime so far are Eureka Seven, Crest/Banner of the Stars and Aquarion Evol. (Props to the guy who told me I should watch Evol by the way, it blew me out of the water.)

I did see Genesis of Aquarion, but mostly because I always watch series in order. It was good, and I think it was very important if you want to fully appreciate Evol. I was wondering about Logos, there seems to be a lot of hate for it. I heard there isn't much continuity in it from the previous series.
