00E0E_dWpwMFyzm5P_1200x900.jpg
97KB, 1200x675px
i7 920 Quad Core Hyper Threaded Processor
12g Corsair Memory 1600mhz
EVGA X58 Sli Classified Motherboard
NZXT 750 Watt Power Supply
XFX R9 270X Unlocked Voltage Graphics Card
Antec 900 Full Tower
250g Hard Drive
Optical Burner
Corsair AIO Liquid Cooler
Windows 10 Pro
This lil Beast is running at 4.0ghz Stable at 65c with Aida64 running load, Idle temps 36-40c.
Will run all games 50 to 80fps at 1080p

This person is selling this for $500, is there anything he could message me to prove it works? $500 is very cheap for an i7 and dedicated graphics card, and usually, the cheaper it is, the more likely it is that it's hardware is a look-alike, maybe windows 10 is torrented on there, or I will be mugged. Any advice?

At first glance it sounds too good to be true (i7) but for some reason that CPU really looks to me like it isn't worth a damn nowadays which might make the price more reasonable. It looks like they don't even make them anymore and CPUboss tells me it gets ripped by the 6700k and the 4790k.

250 Gig hard drive sucks especially if there isn't an ssd.

I don't know man, the specs look decent and might be fair considering the thing is used and a bit outdated.

Ask him if he can stream a video of it on via hangouts or something of it turning on for like a minute. Or to a teamviewer session. I would definitely tell him he needs to show it to me in action some way doing some kind of benchmark before I agree to pay.

Would a youtube vid work, and would https://novabench.com/ work? I don't know idea how else to avoid a scam, should I just pay an extra $200 and go retail for it?

My answer is yes. If you have $700 you can put towards a pc, I say build it yourself. If you're definitely not into all that work or whatever than yeah, still I'd get a brand new prebuilt with specs you like.

honestly, as a used computer, thats worth $350
the board (and maybe the ram) being probably the most valuable component right now, tat cpu, although it says i7, is an outdated/slow cpu by todays standards (even the pentium g anniversary beats it in single/dual thread performance, and thats a $70 new-on-the-box cpu)

kek, this is a low end budget setup at best, and the price is ludicrous

Well, let's look at the individual parts and see how much they are worth.
The i7 920 is a $20 CPU. At least it is a D0 and not a shitty C0.
The classified is the best part by far, around $100-150 depending on which it is.
~$40 for the PSU
R9 270X ~$65
12GB DDR3-1600 ~$60-80
Corsair Liquid Cooler $20-40 depending on model
Antec 900 ~$30-60 depending on condition
250gb HDD, optical drive = trash, maybe $5 each
+Whatever a Win10 license is worth

If you pay more than $300, tops 350 for this, you are paying more than you should.
