Serious answer: try Craigslist local listings or hang out around Home Depot and look for work. Pawn things or organize a garage sale (with signs).

My retired father builds mailboxes for about $200 for neighborhoods that have been around a couple decades and have their original mailboxes worn down. It's just a hobby, the materials cost him around $40 so there's a big profit. The only downside is that you kind of need to have a stocked workbench for that kind of labor - you know, power saw and all.
