A friend needs a new Laptop for University and Dota 2. He would like it to be around 300€ or less.
I wanted to find a nice used Thinkpad for him, but the fastest GPUs I could find are Quadro NVS5400m, which are probably on the low end for Dota.
Are there Thinkpads or similar well built/cheap laptops with better CPUs in this price range?
Or does someone have a laptop with an NVS5400 (or GT540m) and can tell me how the latest version of Dota is running? Old benchmarks aren't really usable since the engine changed a lot.
Anyone with a GT540m or similar GPU? As long as I can be sure Dota2 7.00 is running well, it should be fine...
You should find a good used one for 300

Fuck, I just realized, I meant to say:
"Are there Thinkpads or similar well built/cheap laptops with better ///GPUs/// in this price range?". GPUs, not CPUs... I must've been tired.
I'm looking for better GPUs than the NVS5400m.
I can find decent used ones with about that much GPU power around 300.
But if possible I'd like to confirm that this much power is enough, or find something faster which is still well-built.

I'm not an expert on thinkpads but /g/ is

Thanks, I asked my question there.
I'll still keep this thread, maybe someone who is playing Dota 2 on their laptop stumbles in and can give me some estimates on how well it runs.
