Some asshole [friend of yours?] put a BIOS password on it when you weren't looking.
You need that password.

I don't have anyone with that kind of skill in my house, I'm pretty sure no one tempered with it

Nah man i bought it last year at an electronic shop near my home

>that kind of skill
power,f10,right,right,right,down,down,down,<mash hands on keyboard>f10,enter.
THIS IS WHY YOU SET A BIOS PASSWORD. UNTIL YOU SET A BIOS PASSWORD, YOU DON'T OWN THE DEVICE.

Sheesh anon it was my father's then he gave it to me what i mean is no one except me and him knows what a BIOS password is

You know that laptops nowadays don't have a CMOS battery out in the open like that right? Besides that video is 7 years ago
>>259097
Oh, also they store the password in flash, because putting a password in memory that erases itself when you pull out the battery is absolutely retarded.

It said that it can't read some disk that's important to the os or something like that and i bring it to my local electronic repair shop, after a week its fixed but the interface is a little different its windows 8 but it has a start button like windows 7(it didn't have that before)
