GPU problems

Alright guys, here's the scoop:
I just got a 7950 Twin Frozr III (Used) and I tested it on a friends comp to see if it was working. It did boot with everything on his screen working fine, but when I put it in my pc it doesnt even detect the damn thing in my pc. Here are the things I tried to do:
Delete old drivers that I had on my pc.
Removing the gpu and reinserting it a couple of times to make sure it had good connection with the slot.
Used my older gpu to see if the slot was dead, it worked with my older gpu.
The fans are spinning on the gpu.
I have the correct pins inserted into the gpu.
My current specs are:
I3-2120
10GB of DDR3 ram
2 HDD
500W PSU
