Lol that's why I'm able to view Japanese blu rays in north american Blu Ray player. How hard is it to get a region free blu ray player?
If you cant you could always rip it on a PC with a blu ray drive. Just use MakeMKV. Or torrent DVDFab and rip a region free .iso.

any time a Japanese country region locks one of their products, the reason is not to make it harder for us gaijin, it's because they can gouge the fuck out of their domestic market. It's cheaper to import from the US, especially for anime/manga/vidya/other niche hobbyist stuff, so they need to lock it down to keep the market in Japan

'Cept as we already established, Japan and Murrcah are in the same Bluray region.
This knobs the elevens off no-end, to the point where they tried to force the burgers to make dub-only BDs so their loyal fans wouldn't be able to reverse-import them, but the burgers responded by just not buying BDs at all.

some BDs have forced subs on Japanese tracks.
