I have nearly completed my backlog, so I am looking for anime recommendations.

Some shows representative of what I enjoy:

>Ef a Tale of Memories
>Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei
>Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World
>Monster
>Monogatari series

Some shows representative of what I dislike:
>Oregairu
>Haiyoru! Nyaruko-san
>Junketsu no Maria
>The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
>K-ON!
>the one about the titcow candyslut with the notable eyes trying to get mc to take over his dad's shop

Worth explicitly noting is that I very much enjoy shows that feature a lot of suffering, tragedy, despair, death, etc.; stories without such tribulations are often boring or uninteresting to me.
