Not really sure how that's supposed to help me
the VN is installed and I can play it fine
My problem is getting the english patch to work
When I try to run Amaterasu's patch it says it couldn't detect the game and asks if I want to install it through the patcher, but it also says I need some 2 disc version of it
I installed it through a single ISO so my ISO doesn't work with this patcher
Was hoping there was another patcher so I wouldn't have to try downloading the game again

What version of the game are you trying to install it on? The amaterasu patch only works on the original:
"This patch is made for the original 2004/04/30 release of Muv-Luv DVD Version (マブラヴ DVD-ROM版). To confirm that you are using the correct version you can check the Version Information option under the Help menu in-game.
The correct version should be: rUGP System Version 5.60.10, マブラヴ シナリオバージョン Ver. 1.10.1073. Any other version will not be supported, no exceptions."
