Ever wondered what samples that makes a a program speak sounds like played as a list? I know i have.. where or how would i get these files?

There aren't any samples. It's generated algorithmically.
Except for Vocaloid which is a mix of both techniques.

But if you're saying that, say, Siri does that, then it would mean more 1-gig language files than could possibly fit on the device.

ok the largest i have is just 600 mb.
Its an exe file- is it hopless to think that one can extract from it somehow??

I used a universal etracter to open the exe and the main file was "dbpcmbec" no file ext. 800 mb... dead end :(
