I'm not sure what to do or how to feel, but an old friend of mine who I have tried to avoid contacting for over a year sent me a message on FB saying she doesn't need me anymore and that she hates me. I replied saying I'm sorry and told her that it's hard for me to keep in contact with people I don't see on a day to day basis. I don't think she's checked it yet, but I just wanna' know if I did the right thing.
Probably not the best place to ask for advice on friends, but yeah.

that was your mistake. anyone msgs you saying they hate you is looking for attention. don't give it to them. if they continue, then post the messages in a public forum that you know they read. they'll stop.
