Hello, mobile data connection is quite expensive in my third world country, so I was wondering if there are anything i can do to save on those precious megabytes.
Is there some kind of solution (extensions maybe) to, for example, only load the important stuff, without the cosmetic shit, since those assets load again and again every time you open a new page.
Excuse my poor English, I hope I made my point clear and thanks in advance.

If you have an iPhone, there's an customizable adblocking app called Refine on the app store. I got it for free when it came out but I think it's $5 now.
What's really great about it is you can customize how you block anything. There's a user generated preset called 'text only browsing' that will do just that. If you want to invest the time, you can learn how to block unecessary javascript, css or images. The UI is pretty easy to learn.

actually I'm using a PC, but ADSL connection is shit where I live and doesn't work most of the time, so I had to take the 3G USB key in order to get something that works. I already use ABP on Firefox.
anyone?
Disable prefetching in your browser. It won't do much for your experience if your in 3g speeds anyway and will reduce some pointless data usage.
You can also use noscript to prevent site elements from being loaded unless you click on them. Definitely useful on sites that autoload and play video.

That seems like a good thing, it keeps pages I already visited on my HDD so it doesn't load again when I want to revisit it, right?

Nope, it preloads content from links you haven't clicked yet so when you do click them, it can render the pages faster.
